Sunday Night listening
::
The Gospel of Goro Adachi

Well played, Ma

Yesterday, my mum bought me diamonds.
Today, she made me cook.
Well played, Ma.
I hope my generosity and tact equals yours when I am 59.

Thanks, Mum

Taking me shopping is a great way to luring me towards marriage, mum.

Jeez Louise

Today, I tripped over French Art Director Maxime Bruneel's simple but lovely website.
His latest work is a video for a mysterious musical duo that goes by the moniker 'Secret Skwirl.'
I suppose if I was in the business of making videos, I would've taken to this execution style in an instant.

CSS Cess

You know you're dating a geek when you get 3am messages that read:
"Can I mess around with your CSS?"

My Most Fitting Bio

I am a monkey.

Celeb Cops

Too bad all the celebs going "Don't diss Amy Winehouse!" were busy concentrating on their careers instead of concentrating on helping her stay off the crack pipe.

Woot.

Every morning when I'm approaching office I look at my rick guy and go all
" भैयाजी, रिकक्षा उस पेड़ के नीचे रोक दीजीये"
and he looks and me and goes all
"मैडम, कौनसा पेड़?"
as if this city is just filled with trees!
Just. As. If.

Photo Booth Fun

Just another day with my dad.
P.S: I was truly that excited.

I totally read that as 'Send Flies.'
What is wrong with me?!

Dog Eat Lunch

I cannot believe stuff like this makes me laugh like a jackass. On loop.
This is the 6th time in the day that I am watching this video. And I've already finished watching all the Related Videos about assorted animals doing assorted things including a dog trying to eat with chopsticks.

This morning...

I missed Porcupine Tree and had flashes of the Steven Wilson concert so bad that I didn't even have the patience to Login.

Rock the Boat

BB: What should I do when I become rich?
Me: Buy a boat.
BB: ... And then rock it?
Me: Yeah.

The sucky part about substance abuse...

The sucky part is never that you start doing all kinds of substance abuse.
The sucky part is that it starts to show.

Conversations with My Mother

This morning...

I've just stepped out of the shower and my mum's wrapping up her morning yoga.
She's probably weighed herself and left the weighing scale out.
Naturally, I go stand on it to check my 'progress'.
The scale reads a little lower than the last time I checked, which was about 2 months ago.

Conversation ensues...

Ma: How much do you weigh?
Me: Same. 41. No wait, the last time it was 43.
Ma: You weigh as much as a child. I was 50 kilos when I got married.
Ma: Ok, then wait for me to get to 50 and then get me married. Hmm?
Ma: *silence*
Me: *wide smile*
Ma: *abounds with everything that spells hopelessness*

"Hey Soul Sista"

The boy who turned a year older yesterday started a gtalk conversation with me saying "Hey Soul Sista..." and I replied by saying, "like the Train song?" and spent the next few hours playing this on loop and singing it all through my flu.

P.S.:
- Big (bald) men with ukuleles freak me out. They're so unnecessary, couldn't they just pick up a guitar... or something?
- They could have done so much more with this video. Disappointing.

There's a face in the loo!

I found a face in the loo at work.
O! The things it must be witness to.

It's a Fanfarlo Morning

I walked into work this morning singing Fanfarlo's 'The Walls are Coming Down.'
I haven't listened to this album in months and there was no stimulus so I wondered why I even started singing it... till I realized that I had 2 deadlines looming large and then found the lyrics to be quite fitting and then, of course, started getting a little nervous.

"
The walls the walls are coming down
The here and now is coming round
It will some day let you down.
The ships the ships are coming in
The great ideas are wearing thin
There is nothing left to do.
"

Sadface.

P.S.: Isn't the Hanging Straitjacket Escape brilliant?

This was too public for Twitter

Sometimes I look up clients on Facebook to put a face on who I'm hating.

Orange for Grey

When the ground is mucky brown and the sky is dull grey,
I have to call on the orange and the owl, to brighten up my day.

I'm a Simple Guy...

BB from here, here and here went from,

"I'm a simple guy.
A for Apple, B for Balls"

to,

"I'm a simple guy.
A for Apple
B for Big Apple
C for Custard Apple
D for Double Apple
E for Enough Apple
G for Goan Apple...
...
Oops!"

Funnytimes at the work place.

Bright Color Girl

I initially took this picture thinking,
"Wow, someone told this girl it was ok to dress like this!" mostly referring to the tacky pink-plastic shoes and socks.
But when I saw it on the computer in entirety, it didn't look that bad.
It look quite well co-ordinated, inadvertently of course; the pink seat matched the ankle socks, the yellow of the license plate matched her skirt and the black body of the rickshaw matched the oxidized silver of her bangles.
All well balanced.
.
.
.
Oh well.

Lion for Mac

I don't know what everyone is going on about; I already have Lion for Mac.
Look!
